Henry's 2-month check up
Today was our Henry's 2-month appointment. In the past week he's had a huge growth spurt, and he's suddenly completely out of his 3-month clothing. Believe it or not, 6 month sizing fits him length-wise at this point, even though it's a bit wide. So with all of this growth I was super curious to learn his height and weight! As of today, Henry weighs 13 pounds and is 24 inches long. That puts him into the 75th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height. He is quite the big, healthy boy! Yay Henry! On a non-yay note, he had to get one shot today. It made me so sad to see that needle go into his leg, but he didn't even cry, which was surprising! We're doing the Dr. Sears' Selective Vaccination Schedule, so Henry got two vaccinations today: the DTaP and the Rotovirus. One was oral and one was given through a shot. To vaccinate or not to vaccinate is such a hot topic, and although we did go back and forth, we ultimately decided to go this route. It's still hard to see Henry even wince in pain though, but I think we all did pretty well considering this was our first experience. I'm just glad it's over!
